Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals, Waiver of Liability and General Terms:
Please read this document carefully. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the Terms and Conditions outlined by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
Waiver of Liability:
1.
Acknowledgment of Risks the Authorized User acknowledges that paddling on Okanagan Lake, including the use of clear tandem kayaks and clear paddleboards (SUP), involves inherent risks, dangers, and hazards. These risks include, but are not limited to, capsizing, drowning, hypothermia, collisions with other watercraft or objects, adverse weather conditions, wildlife encounters, personal injury (including cuts, scrapes, bruises, fractures, dislocations, and head injuries), and property damage.

Assumption of Risk the Authorized User freely accepts and voluntarily assumes all risks, dangers, and hazards associated with the use of the equipment and participation in water activities.
3.
Release and Waiver in consideration of Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals providing the equipment for rent, the Authorized User, on behalf of themselves, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, and any unauthorized user, hereby releases, waives, and forever discharges Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals, The City of Kelowna, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives (collectively, the "Releasees") from any and all claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, including but not limited to claims for negligence, arising out of or in any way connected with the Authorized User's use of the equipment or participation in activities arranged by or through Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
4.
Indemnification The Authorized User agrees to the legal obligation to protect, defend, and hold harmless Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals, the City of Kelowna, their owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and representatives (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable legal fees and disbursements) that may arise from or be connected with the Authorized User's use or operation of the rented equipment, any breach by the Authorized User of these terms and conditions, any "loss," "theft," "damage(s)," injury (including "physical condition"), or death, any claims brought by third parties, any circumstances arising from the Authorized User being "under the influence."
5.
Safety and Risk Acknowledgment the Authorized User understands that Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals does not provide guides or supervision during the Rental Period. Authorized Users are solely responsible for their own safety and the safety of those under their care including any unauthorized users. The Authorized User is solely responsible for assessing their own abilities and the prevailing conditions before and during the Rental Period. In case of an emergency, the Authorized User will immediately contact emergency services (911) and then notify Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
6.
Leave No Trace Policy the Authorized User agrees to strictly adhere to the Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals “Leave No Trace Policy," which is incorporated by reference into these Terms and Conditions. This policy outlines responsible environmental practices for preserving Okanagan Lake. Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.
7.
Personal Belongings Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings of the Authorized User or their party during the Rental Period. Authorized Users are advised to secure valuables in waterproof bags or leave them in a safe place.
8.
Privacy Policy Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals collects personal information necessary for booking, payment, and safety purposes. Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals does not share your personal information with anyone, including third parties for marketing purposes.
9.
Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
10.
Severability If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
11.
Entire Agreement the Waiver of Liability, together with the Rental Agreement with Terms and Conditions and the Leave No Trace Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the Authorized User and Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals concerning the rental of equipment and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether electronic, oral, or written.

Amendments Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The most current version can be found at www.rentclearwatercraft.ca

“Animals” Refers generally to any domesticated or pet animals that may accompany an Authorized User or be present in the operational areas of Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals or on the water.
“Wildlife” Refers to the undomesticated animals living in their natural habitat within or adjacent to the operational areas and water of Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
“Rental Agreement” The legally binding contract entered between Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals and the authorized and unauthorized users of all rental equipment.
“Unauthorized User”“Subleasing”“Allowing” Refers to any individual who operates, attempts to operate, or uses the rented equipment, who is not explicitly named or identified on the rental agreement as an authorized user. The Authorized User assumes full responsibility and liability for all damages, injuries, losses, or expenses incurred because of, or in connection with, the use of equipment by an unauthorized user regardless of fault.
“Authorized User” refers exclusively to the individual(s) explicitly named and identified on the Rental Agreement, who assumes full responsibility for all equipment and liability under the terms of this contract.
“Self Guided” Refers to the nature of the rental experience where the Authorized User and their party are solely responsible for planning, navigating, and conducting their recreational activity using the rented equipment, without direct supervision, instruction, or a designated leader provided by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals during the rental period.
“Commercial Purposes” Refers to any use of the rented equipment that is intended for, or results in, direct or indirect financial gain, compensation, or commercial benefit for the Authorized User or any third party, beyond the scope of personal recreational use as intended by this Rental Agreement. This includes, but is not limited to: Guided tours, lessons, or instructional services for which the Authorized User receives payment or other consideration. Rental or sub-leasing of the equipment to other individuals or entities. Use in promotional activities, advertising, or media production (e.g., film, photography for sale) without prior written consent from Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals. Any activity where the Authorized User is acting as a paid or compensated guide, instructor, or service provider.
“Online” “In-Person”: Transactions channels that are either remote or physical.
“Payment”“Pre-Authorized Damage Deposit”“Fees”“Major Credit Card”“Debit Card” The monetary transaction and means required to secure all rental services.
“Hold” The temporary reservation of a specific amount of funds on a major credit card.
“Rental Period”“Rental”“Booking”: The agreed-upon duration for which the equipment is rented along with pick up times and return times.
“Early Return of Equipment” Refers to returning equipment prior to the agreed-upon and scheduled end time stipulated in the rental agreement.
“Designated Return Location” “Designated Area”“Agreed Upon Time” “Returned” Refers to the specific, predetermined physical point or area and time to commence and use the equipment and where to complete and successfully relinquishment of all rented equipment.
“Written Consent” Refers to a formal, explicit, and unambiguous agreement or authorization provided in a tangible, verifiable written format by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
“Emergency” Refers to any unforeseen and urgent situation or event that poses an immediate threat to the safety of individuals, the integrity of equipment, or requires immediate intervention to prevent serious harm, injury, or loss during the rental period.
“Cancellation” Refers to the act of formally terminating a confirmed rental booking prior to its scheduled commencement or the termination of a rental already commenced due to but not limited to misuse or breach of the “Leave no Trace” policy.
“No Show” Refers to an Authorized User or any member of their rental party who fails to arrive at the designated rental location by the confirmed and scheduled rental start time, without prior notification or communication with Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals. A No-Show is considered forfeited, and no refunds or credits will be issued for the rental fee or any associated charges.
“Reschedule” Refers to changing a confirmed rental booking's date and/or time to a different available slot prior to the original scheduled commencement.
“Equipment" “Vessel” “Unit” “Handling” “Cleanliness”: Refers to any clear tandem, kayaks, clear paddleboards (sup), paddles, personal flotation devices (PFDs), safety kits, and all other accessories or gear provided by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals for the duration of rental and the treatment of the equipment, including but not limited to cleanliness.
“Reckless” “Negligent”“Abusive Manner” “Prohibited Behavior” Refers to the act of operating or using the rented equipment with a deliberate and unjustifiable disregard for the safety of oneself, other individuals, property, or the equipment itself, or with a blatant indifference to known or obvious risks.
“Modifying” Refers to any alteration, addition, subtraction, or change made to the rented equipment from its original condition, configuration, or design as provided by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals. This includes, but is not limited to, drilling, cutting, painting, affixing non-original parts, or making any structural or cosmetic changes without the express prior written consent of Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
“Repairs” Refers to the necessary actions, labor, and materials required to restore damaged rented equipment to its original functional, safe, and aesthetic condition, as determined solely by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
“Capsizing” Refers to the act of a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard overturning or tipping sideways, resulting in its occupants and potentially equipment being unexpectedly ejected or submerged into the water.
“Submerging” “Submerged” Refers to the condition where a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard, or any part thereof, becomes fully or partially immersed and sinks below the water's surface.
“Loss”“Theft” “Damage(s)” Refers to but is not limit to; unauthorized taking and permanent deprivation of rented equipment, physical harm, impairment, or destruction to rented equipment, unaccounted-for disappearance, misplacement, or inability to recover rented equipment regardless of cause or fault.
“Full Replacement Cost” Refers to the entire current market value of new, equivalent equipment, including the cost of the item itself, shipping and handling charges, and any applicable taxes as well as administrative fees incurred by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals in sourcing and acquiring the replacement item.
“Okanagan Lake”: The body of water on which the Equipment is intended to be used.
“Transport Canada-approved PFD” Refers to a vest or buoyancy aid that has been tested and certified by Transport Canada to meet the safety standards and regulatory requirements for use on Canadian waters, as outlined in the Small Vessel Regulations under the Canada Shipping Act, 2001.
“Properly Fitted” Refers to the condition of a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) when it is worn correctly and adjusted snugly to the individual's body, ensuring its optimal performance and safety on the water.
“Weight Limits” Refers to the maximum permissible combined weight of individuals and gear that a specific piece of rented equipment (e.g., tandem kayak, paddleboard) is designed to safely support while maintaining its stability, performance, and buoyancy as rated by the manufacturer.
“Liability Waiver”“Assumption of Risk”“Assume Full Responsibility” “Behalf”“Release” The voluntarily and knowingly relinquishing, abandoning, or surrender of certain legal rights or claims against Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals and its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates including all known and unanticipated risks.
“Indemnification” Refers to the Authorized User's legal obligation to protect, defend, and hold harmless Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals, the City of Kelowna, their owners, directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and representatives (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") from and against any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable legal fees and disbursements) that may arise from or be connected with the Authorized User's use or operation of the rented equipment, any breach by the Authorized User of these terms and conditions, any "loss," "theft," "damage(s)," injury (including "physical
condition"), or death, any claims brought by third parties, any circumstances arising from the
Authorized User being "under the influence”.
“Risks” Refers to the inherent, unavoidable, and often unpredictable dangers, hazards, and potential for harm associated with engaging in water-based recreational activities and the use of associated rental equipment.
“Personal Belongings” Refers to all items of personal property owned by or brought by the Authorized User or any member of their party to the rental location or onto the rented equipment.
“Weather Conditions” Refers to the atmospheric state and environmental factors prevalent at any given time or forecasted for a specific period, particularly as they relate to the safety and feasibility of kayaking and paddleboarding activities on the water.
“Unsafe” Refers to any condition, situation, action, or state that poses an unacceptable or elevated risk of harm, injury, death, property damage, or environmental impact.
“Unstable Terrain” Refers to any ground surface that is uneven, loose, slippery, prone to shifting, or otherwise presents a heightened risk of slips, trips, falls, or loss of footing.
“Safe Distance” Refers to the appropriate minimum separation that must be maintained between kayaks, paddleboards, other watercraft, fixed objects (such as docks, buoys, or navigational markers), shorelines, individuals in the water, wildlife, and animals to prevent dangerous interactions and or collisions.
“Supervised” Refers to the direct and continuous oversight, monitoring, and guidance of an individual, child, children or group by a responsible, competent, and authorized adult.
“Safe Paddling Boundaries” “Paddling Zones” The Boundary in which a non-motorized watercraft can operate safely, out of the way of motorized vessels or other non-motorized vessels. Staying within a safe swimmable distance from shore for all participants regardless of swimming ability.
“Age to Rent” The minimum age requirement an Authorized User must be to be eligible to enter into a rental agreement for all equipment.
“Physical Condition” “Physical Ability”: The affirmation of one’s suitable physical condition, free from any medical conditions, injuries, or impairments that may prevent safe participation in all outdoor recreational activities pertaining to water and land hazards.
“Swimming Ability” “Capable of Paddling”“(Basic) Swimming” “Self-Rescue” “Lifesaving Support” The ability to remain afloat and propel oneself through the water without assistance in the event of capsizing or unexpected entry into the water.
“Under the Influence”“Impairs Judgement” “Impaired” Refers to the state of an individual with impaired judgement or physical ability by the consumption of alcohol, cannabis, illicit drugs, or any other intoxicating substance, including certain prescription or over-the-counter medications.
“Overdue Renter” Refers to an Authorized User who fails to return all rented equipment to the "Designated Return Location" by the "Agreed Upon Time" as stipulated in the "Rental Agreement," and has not received "Written Consent" from Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals for an extension.
“Lost Renter” Refers to a situation where an Authorized User, or any member of their rental party, becomes disoriented, separated from their group, or is unable to navigate back to the "Designated Return Location" by the "Agreed Upon Time" or within a reasonable timeframe, leading to concern for their safety.
2. Conditions:
Rental Eligibility:
Age to Rent: All Authorized Users must be at least 19+ years of age to sign the rental agreement. Valid photo identification (e.g., driver's license, passport) is required at the time of rental pickup. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must sign the rental agreement on their behalf and assume full responsibility for the minor. All Authorized Users (and guardians for minors) must read, understand, and sign a comprehensive liability waiver and assumption of risk form for themselves and their minor children.
Infants to Age 6: For safety reasons, children under 2 years of age or weighing less than 20 lbs (9 kg) are not permitted on any watercraft.
Children aged 2 to 6 years of Age: Are required to be accompanied by two parents or guardians in a tandem clear kayak and are not permitted on clear paddleboards (SUPs). All Authorized Users and participants must be wearing a properly fitted, Transport Canada-approved PFD.
Minors 7-16 Years of Age: They must be accompanied by an adult in either a tandem clear kayak or within arm’s reach of a minor operating a clear paddleboard (SUP) (one adult per child) while staying in or near the mandatory vessel and within the vessel maximum weight restrictions. All Authorized Users and participants must wear a properly fitted, Transport Canada-approved PFD.
Minors 16+: A minor 16+ may operate tandem clear kayak with double occupancy (16+) or a clear paddleboard (SUP). They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the water in a vessel that is in close enough proximity to provide immediate physical assistance and will be required to demonstrate a basic swimming ability. All Authorized Users and participants must wear a properly fitted, Transport Canada-approved PFD.
Vessel Maximum Weight Restrictions:
Tandem Clear Kayak maximum weight: 425 lbs
Clear Paddleboard maximum weight: 240 lbs
Physical Condition: Authorized Users must be in good physical health and capable of paddling, swimming, and self-rescue in the event of capsizing. Authorized Users must disclose any medical conditions that may impair your ability to safely use the equipment. It is mandatory to stay within vessel maximum weight requirements as outlined in Rental Eligibility (Vessel Maximum Weight Restrictions).
Swimming Ability: All Authorized Users must demonstrate basic swimming ability and lifesaving support for young children. All Authorized Users must stay within the Safe Paddling Boundaries.
Authorized Users are responsible for accurately assessing the combined weight of all occupants and gear to ensure compliance with these limits. Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals reserves the right to deny rental or terminate an ongoing rental without refund if it is believed that vessel maximum weight restrictions are exceeded. Clear Kayak Maximum Weight: 425 lbs (192 kg) Clear Paddle Board (SUP) Maximum Weight: 240 lbs (109 kg)
Rentals, Payment and Damages: A $250 security deposit is required per order. Rental fees and deposits are processed during online booking and must be paid with a major credit card. The deposit is a pre-authorization hold to cover potential damage, late fees, excessive cleaning or missing equipment and the reminder of the security deposit will be released upon the satisfactory conclusion of the rental; please note that debit cards cannot be used for this hold. We highly recommend that Authorized Users carry their own personal liability or property insurance to cover rented equipment. Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
All bookings and booking durations are subject to change based on availability.
Responsibility for Damages: The Authorized User assumes full responsibility for theft, loss, or damages of all equipment beyond normal wear and tear and is liable for the full cost of repairs or replacement if damages exceed the pre-authorized deposit amount by charging the credit card on file.
Assessment of Damages: Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals will determine the extent of the damage and the cost of repair or replacement based on the table below: Replacement costs are as follows (subject to change): Tandem Clear Kayak: $2,500
Clear Paddleboard (SUP): $1,500
Paddle: $80
PFD: $60
Safety Kit: $30
Other accessories: Current Retail Market replacement cost. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Cancellation and Refund Policy: Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the Rental Period will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the Rental Period will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the Rental Period, or no-shows, will NOT be eligible for a refund.
Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals the right to cancel or reschedule rentals due to unsafe weather conditions (e.g., high winds, lightning, heavy rain), unforeseen circumstances, or Equipment unavailability at any time.
In such cases, Authorized Users will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule their rental. Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals will make reasonable efforts to notify Authorized Users as soon as possible. Refunds, credits, or rescheduling will not be issued for light wind, light rain, or light weather events that do not pose a heightened risk to safety. Refunds or credits will not be issued for early returns of equipment.
Rental Period and Late Returns and Refund: The Equipment must be returned to the designated return location by the agreed-upon time.
Late returns will be subject to additional charges of $25 for every 15 mins thereof, unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals, or due to Emergency.
Equipment not returned within 2 hours of the agreed-upon return time, without prior notification, may be considered lost or stolen, and the Authorized User will be charged the full replacement cost and all costs associated with replacement of the equipment.
Equipment Use and Care:
Inspection: Authorized Users must inspect equipment for any existing damage and report it to an Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals representative immediately. Failure to do so may result in the Authorized User being held responsible for any pre-existing damage not reported.
Handling and Care of Clear Vessels: Authorized Users must exercise extreme care to avoid scraping equipment on rocks, docks, shallow lakebeds, or any abrasive surfaces. Do not drag tandem clear kayaks or clear paddleboards. Always lift and carry them or use designated dollies if available.
Cleanliness: Return the equipment in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive dirt or debris may incur a cleaning fee of $50.
Prohibited Activities:
Impairment of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs judgment or physical ability.
Subleasing or allowing anyone not listed on the rental agreement to use the equipment.
Using the equipment for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
Modifying or attempting to repair the equipment.
Using the equipment in a reckless, negligent, or abusive manner.
Intentionally capsizing or submerging the equipment.
Paddling in restricted areas, private property, or areas designated as unsafe. Animals are not permitted on equipment.
No fishing.
Communication & Accounting for Safe Return of Participants:
Check-in/Check-out System: A robust system to record Authorized Usernames, contact information, time out, time in, and equipment assigned will be in effect to ensure all users are accounted for at the end of the rental.
Lost/Overdue Renter Protocol: If an Authorized User is significantly overdue (30 minutes), staff will attempt to contact them via the phone number provided (778-760-3773).
If contact cannot be made or concern escalates (1 hour or less), local authorities (e.g., RCMP, Marine Search and Rescue) may be notified with all available information (Authorized User details, last known location, equipment type, time out).
Wildlife and Terrain:
Environmental Responsibility and Safety: Respect a safe distance from wildlife, avoiding unstable terrain and adhering to the “Leave No Trace Policy”.
Geographic Limitations: The equipment is intended for use only on Okanagan Lake within the designated paddling zones specified by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
Authorized Users are prohibited from taking the equipment outside of these designated areas without explicit written permission from Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.
Safety Regulations:
Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs): All Authorized Users and participants will be provided and must always wear a PFD while on the water. This is a non-negotiable safety requirement.
Pre-Rental safety briefing: Authorized Users are required to attend a safety briefing on equipment use, self-rescue techniques, and local water conditions before the rental begins.
Weather Conditions: Authorized Users are responsible for monitoring weather conditions during their Rental Period. If conditions become unsafe (e.g., strong winds, storms), you must immediately return to the nearest safe shore and contact Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals at 778-760-3773.
Staying Sober: The operation of watercraft while impaired is illegal and strictly prohibited.
Children: Children must always be supervised by an adult.
Emergency Contact: You must carry a fully charged mobile phone in a waterproof case for emergencies.
Designated Operating Area: Stay within the definition of safe paddling boundaries (e.g., specific distance from shore, avoiding main boat channels).
Hydration & Sun Protection: Participants must bring adequate water and sun protection (hats, sunscreen) to prevent dehydration and sunburn, especially with sun reflecting off the clear surface.
Capsizing Protocol: In the event of a capsize, Authorized Users are instructed to stay with their watercraft, utilize their PFD, and attempt re-entry or paddle to the nearest safe shore.
Emergency Communication: If participants need immediate assistance, participants will blow the safety whistle, wave the paddle, yell, use a flashlight, and return to shore immediately if possible. Authorized Users will be required to carry their cell phone in a waterproof bag (at their own risk) for emergencies dialing 911 for immediate life-threatening emergencies (serious injury, drowning, major distress) but not to rely solely on it for immediate rescue. Authorized Users are responsible for their conduct on the water.
Non-Emergency First Aid: Authorized Users are instructed to return to the designated rental area for non-life-threatening issues and seek or self administer minor first aid.
Incident Reporting: All incidents, no matter how minor, will be documented, reviewed, and analyzed to identify root causes and preventive measures.
Company Equipment Standards & Maintenance, Quality & Suitability: All watercraft and safety equipment will meet or exceed Transport Canada safety standards.
Equipment will be chosen for its stability and suitability for Okanagan Lake conditions and self-guided use by Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals.

Maintenance & Repair: A maintenance log will be kept for each piece of equipment.
Any damaged equipment will be immediately removed from service and repaired by qualified personnel or replaced.
All equipment will be regularly cleaned and inspected to maintain quality and structural integrity.

This policy outlines the principles and practices Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals expects all renters to follow. By renting from Okanagan Clear Watercraft Rentals, renters agree to abide by these guidelines and help ensure Okanagan Lake remains spectacular for generations to come.
Designated Access Points: Renters must always launch and land any rental equipment from designated beaches, docks, or public access points and must avoid trampling vegetation or sensitive shoreline areas.
Maintain Safe Distances: Renters will give ample space to other water users, boats, and wildlife.
Be Considerate of Other Visitors: Renters will be mindful and courteous to other paddlers, swimmers, boaters, and shoreline users.
Yield to Others: Renters must give way to faster vessels and maintain safe distances to prevent collisions.
Avoid Contact with Lakebed: Renters must avoid scraping any rental equipment on the lakebed, so not to disturb sediment and damage delicate ecosystems.
Leave What You Find: Observe, Don't Disturb: Renters must resist the urge to disturb plants, fish or any natural habitats.
No Feeding Wildlife: Renters will not feed any birds, fish, or other wildlife.
No Fishing: Renters understand all rental equipment is strictly for recreational use only; no hobby use is permitted. Disturbing fish is strictly prohibited.
Respect Private property, including docks: Renters understand that it is unlawful to knowingly trespass onto private property, please respect resident’s rights to privacy.
Minimize Noise: Renters will keep noise levels/music down to preserve the tranquility of the natural environment and avoid disturbing others.
Dispose of Waste Properly: Renters will follow the “Pack It In, Pack It Out” rule. Absolutely everything brought onto the water must return with the renter, including all food wrappers, bottles, cans, and personal items.
Human Waste: Renters will plan for restroom breaks before and after the rental. If an emergency arises on the water, renters must paddle to a designated public washroom facility.
Consequences of Non-Compliance: Renters who fail to adhere to this Leave No Trace policy may be subject to immediate termination of all rentals without a refund, and in severe cases, may lead to fines or legal action by local authorities.
